We are seeking for a Business and Operational Risk Officer to join the Risk Management Department for a 2 year fixed term contract. The mission of the department is to anticipate, identify, measure, monitor, control and report all risks of the Eurobank Private Bank Luxembourg, as well as implement all new Risk guidelines and regulations published from both the Group and the Regulator.
The position reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer of the Bank.
As a Business and Operational Risk Officer you will be interacting on a daily basis, with all departments of the Bank, relevant Risk departments of the Group and the Regulator.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Business Risk (40%-50% time utilization)
- Monitoring of Macroeconomic and Market Trends that can affect the Business Plan of the Bank
- Analyzing Bank data and trends in client behavior
- Designing of relevant KRIs
- Drafting presentations for Senior Management on respective Risk areas, including Credit, Liquidity, Market, etc
- Constantly liaising with Business and Finance Department
- Operational Risk (20%-30% time utilization)
- Monitor and report all Operational Loss Events, support the users in the root cause analysis and ensure that improvement measures are adequately defined, monitored, tracked and implemented
- In collaboration with the Bank’s Op.Risk Partner, perform respective RCSAs for all Units of the Bank and monitor the implementation of all highlighted actions
- Conduct the annual Scenario Assessment Process and the IT amp; Security Risk Assessment (in collaboration with IT Head and IS Head)
- Work with all business owners to ensure a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement of the risk environment is properly, understood and embedded across the Bank
- Constantly liaise with Group Op.Risk Sector for all relevant issues and projects
- Project Participation (20%-30% time utilization)
- Participate in all risk related projects as deemed appropriate
- Back-up of other risk personnel, in case they need to participate in respective projects
You will be a great candidate for us if you:
- Own a university degree preferably in Finance. Postgraduate studies and/or a relevant Professional Qualification (CFA, FRM) will be considered as an asset
- Have minimum five (5) years of previous working experience in relevant areas of risk management
- Are fluent in the English language
- Have advanced business/analytical thinking and problem solving skills, comfortable working in a multi-tasking environment, teamwork spirit
- You have strong communication and presentation skills (both written amp; verbal)
- You have willingness for achieving results and continuously improving performance
- You have strong numerical and data analytics skills
- You have advanced project management and monitoring skills
- You have ability to understand and analyze business needs
- Advanced Excel literacy (Macros, VBA, Power Pivots, etc.) will be considered a significant advantage
