About the Opportunity
Dentons Luxembourg is seeking a Junior Associate to join our Finance and Banking practice based in Luxembourg.
About the Role
The individual appointed for this role will be part of a dedicated team and will support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Representing creditors and borrowers, including banks, finance companies, private equity funds, hedge funds, public companies and private companies in financing transactions;
- Contributing to a broad range of banking and finance matters, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, syndicated transactions, mezzanine and subordinated debt facilities, asset-based financings, acquisition, recapitalization, and other leveraged financings across a variety of industries;
- Documenting, structuring, negotiating and closing commercial finance transactions; and
- Helping build relationships with clients.

About You
- Master’s degree in civil law
- You have gained 2-3 years of legal experience, in commercial lending transactions within the banking and finance department of a Luxembourg recognized law firm, is required;
- Excellent spoken and written French, English that will support you in providing best legal service to clients
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with a degree of independence when need but equally a strong team player when working on larger projects requiring joint effort
- Commercial awareness and solution-oriented mind-set is essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly with a strong drive for excellence
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrates good judgement and resilience skills
- Luxembourg and/or common law jurisdiction qualified
- Show strong initiative, drive and take control of own career development
